Income Beyond Guidelines

If you input financial information that is off-the-scale, the program will give you a warning. It will appear at the bottom of the Iowa Support Master window. Click the link to see a help file or click on the "Special Ops" button. Select "Income Beyond Guidelines". The guidelines have caps. Anything above the tables falls within the discretion of the court. See Rule 9.26 of the Schedule of Basic Support Obligations. Item 3 sets out "For combined net monthly incomes above $25,000, the amount of the basic support obligation is deemed to be within the sound discretion of the court or the agency setting support by administrative order but shall not be less than the basic support obligation for combined net monthly incomes equal to $25,000."
